Unlike his earlier crafts GKMC is more personal and details into his life growing up.With skits,conversations and phonecalls interwined between songs it gives a clear picture.
Highlits of the album include 'swimming pools' which is a story on how young people are exposed to alcohol and the causes,'good kid' shows type of things young people are exposed to from gangs to dealing with the police,'black boy fly' sees a kid from the ghetto with hope of making it and leading a better life,other great tracks include money trees,sherane,compton,real,mad city,the recipe and poetic justice.
The album has minimal features from Drake to Dre and AbSoul among a few others,GKMC is easily one of the most story told piece that any young person being exposed to the struggles of life growing up can relate to.Its not always about the partying Music is knowledge,Music is Therapy,Music is Love.....
