Van Persie joins Arsenal on preseason training camp

The Gunners captain has travelled to Germany as part of Arsene Wenger's squad with his future still undecided amid interest from Juventus and Manchester City.

Robin van Persie has traveled to Germany as part of Arsenal's preseason training camp with his future at the club still undecided.

The Gunners captain, who announced his intention to leave the club in an open letter to fans last month, flew out with his team-mates and Arsene Wenger on Monday ahead of a friendly with Koln this weekend

The Dutchman has attracted interest from Juventus, Manchester City and Manchester United after openly questioning the ambition of the north London outfit on July 4, with Arsenal having finished their seventh consecutive season without a trophy, 19 points behind the Manchester duo.

However, as exclusively revealed by Goal.com, Van Persie has been buoyed by the potential signings of Malaga's Santi Cazorla and Nuri Sahin from Real Madrid, prompting a shift in his attitude at the club's London Colney training ground over the course of last week.

Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski, who could face his old club in Sunday's friendly at RheinEnergieStadion, have already been recruited by Wenger during the summer transfer window, with the Gunners looking to bolster their attacking options after a mixed campaign last term.
